Best Rookie to draft for Fantasy Football Series: WR

DJ Moore – Carolina Panthers

Our projected best rookie WR to draft for Fantasy football series is former Maryland receiver DJ Moore. The major reason we selected Moore is because of his opportunity to ball out and be an integral part of the Panthers’ team this year. With Kelvin Benjamin gone, the receiving core will look for others to step up. Outside of Futchess and Greg Olsen, Cam Newton will need others to step in order to create a dynamic passing game. With Moore’s ability to gain yards after the catch, he possesses big play potential which could make for some big weeks this year in fantasy.

Best Rookie to draft for Fantasy Football Series: RB

Saquon Barkley – New York Giants

This should be a consensus for best rookie to draft at running back. At this point, Saquon might not only be the best rookie running back to draft, but he might be one of the best running backs. Here are a few reasons why:

Need

The Giants NEED a strong running game this year. With the return of OBJ, the passing game should be much improved. Using Barkley to run the ball will create a balance for the offense. In addition, it should take the pressure off of Eli Manning and the rest of the offense.

Opportunity

With Barkley’s skill set of being able to run and catch the ball very well, expect the Giants to use him in a number of ways. They will use him for screens, and in the passing game as a safety blanket.

Barring injury, fantasy owners can’t go wrong by selecting Saquon Barkley.

Best Rookie to draft for Fantasy Football Series: QB

Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills

In our opinion, the best rookie quarterback to draft for your fantasy team is Josh Allen. While there are other rookie quarterbacks who are arguably better, we believe that Allen will have the best stats by the end of the 2018 season. Here are a few reasons why:

1)Competition

Although there are more NFL ready players such as Baker Mayfield or Sam Donald, they will have a harder time getting on the field than Josh Allen. In Cleveland, Tyrod Taylor is the starter for at least the start of the season. If things go well, he may remain the starter for at least this season. In Donald’s case, he will have competition between Teddy Bridgewater and Josh Mccown. We believe that Mccown will start for at least the first few games this year. For Josh Rosen, the situation is similar with Sam Bradford there. For Allen, the only threat for the starting position is Aj McCarron, who probably won’t win the starting job.

2)Opportunity

With the least amount of competition between the 4, Allen should have the most opportunity to play. Since he has that opportunity, he will have more time and chances to rack up stats.

3)Game strategy

While the Bills will more than likely be a run first team, they will have to pass to keep defenses on their heels. In addition, teams will have to pass because defenses will force them to do so.
